Brandesburton Bowls Club. Thought about joining?
We have a small cohort of about 8 Lawn Bowls players among our BlueRose Static and Seasonal clients who enjoy, compete, and socialise at Brandesburton Bowls Club.
New members whether experienced bowlers or beginners are always welcome, and they have several sets of bowls which new members can use until acquiring their own.
The club is seen as friendly and welcoming and new members can be sure of a warm welcome and will be given instruction and advice on how to bowl, if required, in a cordial manner.
The green usually opens mid-April to practice after the winter break and continues until mid-September. Members can choose to play socially or participate in league and cup matches throughout the Summer.

The Awning Artist

Ever since I was a child I’ve had an interest in drawing and painting; dipping in and out in my
younger years. However, it was in 2017, and a craft day in hospital following an operation
that re-lit my desire to paint.
I’ve never been a prolific painter turning out hundreds of works, but since we got our season
pitch at the Blue Rose Holiday Park, in 2023 I have found that my output has increased,
starting or completing 15 canvasses last year; a majority of them being distributed to our
grandchildren. The remainder are for sale; some at the Meggy Moo Art Gallery in
Gainsborough, Lincolnshire; others direct.
There is something quite satisfying about being able to take your hobby with you. With me,
its having a garrett in an awning. Setting up to paint come rain or shine is my relaxing time.
Everything about our time in the caravan means that everything has to be able to pack away.
Therefore, my canvasses tend to be small (micro in some cases).
We love our caravan, our pitch, and our awning.
So if you happen to pass by, you may see me hunched over a canvas or two.
Any photos of wildlife and pets from the parks that might peak interest. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve seen anything on a walk from the parks as well.
